Now listed in Face2Face Direct

We are always looking at ways of reaching new clients and on our search for places to advertise, we discovered a great site called Face2Face Direct. It's a great guide & local directory for Maidenhead & the surrounding areas. Emma who set it up to tells you more about it below. If you are looking for things to do in the area or want to support local businesses check it out. Also if you are a local business why not get listed!!

What is Face2Face Direct?

Face2Face Direct came from an idea as I wanted to combine my passion for blogging with

providing a service for my local area.

I have blogged and written online (more as a hobby) on and off for over 11 years. Then after

having my second child and going part-time in my employed job as an Area Trainer I set up

my family lifestyle blog ‘All She Loves’. A couple of years later I decided to leave my job and

focus on another venture – a business directory for Maidenhead and the surrounding area.

Why is it different to other directories?

I wanted a magazine-style directory for the area. Focussing only on small local businesses.

And then showcasing them with a blog post all about what they offer. Not only that, but I

include a short interview with each business to help with that personal touch to their listing.

As well as information, contact details and an interview, there are images and videos or

slideshows on many of the listings. The idea was to help see the face behind the business –

although the videos are relevant to each business. Some show what they do or offer, and

others show the business owner. It gives a visual touch to the listings.

What’s On Guide

As the directory grew, I added another element to give it that magazine feel. That was a

What’s Happening page, with events, workshops and more in the area.

As a blogger who regularly writes about events, this was a natural progression. The focus is

mainly on the listed businesses and events they might have planned. But I also add

community events to help support local – such as seasonal events. It’s also helpful for

readers and locals.

Supporting Local

I love the community feel. Even when we were in lockdown. I wanted to support local and

do what I really enjoy.

And Face2Face Direct continues to grow and evolve. I already include exclusive discounts

from some of the businesses on there, and I hope to add in review posts in the future.
